Extrusion Technician Job Description
Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Follow supervisor instructions for machine line operations
• Report to supervisor with mechanical or operator errors
• Ability to read and understand work order and or part print
• Ability to package parts neatly and accurately according to instructions
• Responsible for returning tools to proper line storage
• Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized
• Produce and check quality parts to print specifications
• Able to work well with others
• Keep material from running empty
• Complete paperwork as needed with good penmanship
• Positive attitude and good attendance
• May be required to perform other duties as needed
• Check, document and retain samples as needed
• Help with set up or tear down of equipment
Skills and Qualifications
• Plastic profile experience preferred
• Education – High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
• Ability to read tape measure to 1/16”
• Ability to read and use calipers and or pin gauges
• Strong or good with basic math skills
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to multi task
• Ability to follow safety procedures
• Ability to work in a cooperative way with others
• Dependable work attendance
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
Salary range
Unexperienced – start $13.00/hour + shift bonus with review after 90 days
Experienced – Negotiable depending on years of experience or knowledge + shift bonus
Current shift hours
6:00am–4:00 pm
10:30am–8:30pm* $1.00/hour shift bonus
3:30pm–1:30am* $1.00/ hour shift bonus
8:00pm–6:00am** $2.00/ hour shift bonus
Midnight–11:00am (Mon-Wed), 11:00pm–6:00am (Thurs) ** $2.00/ hour shift bonus
